Shannen joined the Power Factory in 2013. As the Client Relations & Business Development Manager, Shannen is part of the Leadership team and is responsible for developing and growing client relationships and new opportunities.  Shannen also leads the Energy Services team. Since 2015 Shannen has been providing CDM program agent support for Utility energy conservation programs.  Shannen  has a strong customer service and sale background.  At RBC, Shannen lead the cash management team for 2 branches, managed 600+ business accounts and was named top performer in Ontario for 3 years in a row. Other previous roles include Starbucks Store Manager for multiple locations and Marketing Events Coordinator at the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.  Shannen holds a diploma in Accounting and Business Administration from Mohawk College.

Julie has spent two decades in marketing communications.  She launched The Power Factory Ltd. in 2008, providing marketing communications services for Horizon Utilities' energy conservation programs. Under Julie's leadership the company has become the preferred agency for many Electricity LDC's and other fast growing businesses looking to engage customers and drive results. Additionally she has built a strong client base for the firm's strategic energy management and CDM program agent staffing services. Prior to this Julie managed business development at Vertical Scope, a Toronto based integrated multi-platform media company as well as delivered nationwide marketing campaigns across the U.S in the automotive aftermarket and auto sports industry with leading brands such as Saturn, General Motors, and Matco Tools. Julie holds a BA, Marketing and Law designation from Wilfred Laurier University.

Energy Services Manager

Brian joined The Power Factory in 2015 and helped launch TPF Energy Services in 2016. Brian has a strong background in energy conservation projects related to refrigeration, compressed air, pumping, and lighting systems.  He also has experience in conservation initiatives in building envelope, roofing and insulation.  Brian has worked on behalf of Utilities as well as manufacturers on projects for the IESO Save on Energy program and has strong experience with Retrofit, PSUI, prescriptive, and custom projects. His previous roles include Energy Manager with multi-national food processor, Bonduelle Canada, Customer Support Representative with Strongco, and several engineering roles at Volvo CE, Chrysler, and ST Microelectronics. Brian is a Professional Engineer in Ontario, and holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Malta.  He is also a Certified Energy Manager.

Energy Services Specialist

Matthew joined the Power Factory in 2015. He is responsible for customer support for TPF Energy Services and also leads event activation's for CDM Save on Energy programs. Matthew has two decades in the chemicals industry in numerous quality control, customer support and business development roles at companies such as Thames River Chemical, Umicore, Columbian Chemical, and Sico. He was also a Shift Supervisor and Environmental Outreach Events Coordinator at Laidlaw Environmental. Matthew holds a  B.Sc. from Brock University, an Environmental Management diploma from Niagara College and received his Quality Control Technician Certification from Mohawk College.

Mark joined The Power Factory in 2014 and helped launch TPF Energy Services in 2016. Mark has extensive experience in commercial, industrial and institutional energy management related to compressed air, chillers, boilers, VFD’s, BAS controls, process improvement/changes and lighting. On behalf of multiple Utilities/LDCs and the IESO Save on Energy program, Mark has managed prescriptive, custom and PSUI applications, pre and post application submissions, documentation and verification QA/QC. His previous roles include Energy Services Rep at Guelph Hydro Electric Systems, Energy Management Technologist at the University of Guelph and Mechanical Designer at Dana Holding. Mark holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University and is a Certified Energy Manager.
